Heiko Stölting obtained his degree as a Diplom-Ingenieur (equiv. BEng Hons) in environmental technology engineering from the well known Technical University Berlin, Germany, where he passed his exams with Cum Laude.

After completing an internship at the biggest German construction company he earned his experiences in several positions in the environmental engineering business all over Germany where he gained intensive experience in both an industrial and a consulting environment.

His key skill areas include Contaminated Land Investigations and Remediation, Quantitative Risk Assessment, Environmental Management Systems and general Environmental Management. Besides others, he became certified as an Industrial Operating Representative for

• Waste management
• Water protection and waste water treatment
• Emission control
• Coordinator for occupational health and safety on contaminated sites
• Safety of industrial sites regarding hazardous substances and risk minimization

Heiko is a long term member of the

• German Engineers for contaminated site remediation (ITVA) and the
• German Professional environmental operating representatives (VBU).

He recently joined the local

• Institute of Waste Management in Southern Africa.
